I am Shennel Patrick, socially + professionally known as Nelli. I am a Makeup Artist, Beauty Expert, Content Creator and Serial Creative whose vision extends far beyond the palette.

I am fiercely passionate + intentional about creating Beauty that speaks to the true essence of Black Women.  Their history, genetic makeup, rich skin tones, layered stories, and the depth of their complexities, is a picture worth painting. Truly!

My commitment to Artistry is total - MIND, BODY + SPIRIT. God being the ultimate Creator + Artist, I believes He places a calling over the lives of the ones He blesses with the Gift of Creating.

I attribute Beauty to saving me time + time again. First, as an undocumented immigrant, with dreams of Law school temporarily deferred, and searching for the value in my existence in a new country. Beauty made room for this little Island girl, in spaces undocumented immigrants only dreamt of. Beauty saved me again in 2016, after a near fatal car accident took away my abililty to walk. I made a promise to God, if He would allow me to stand on my feet again to use my gifts, that I would serve with Purpose or not at all. My audience + clients have been with me on all of these journeys.

The focus of my Artistry is Skin, Skin + rich, decadent skin!

I love creating luminous, bronzy skin against pops of jewel tones. Along this journey my work has been featured in Essence, Teen Vogue, VIBE Magazine, Bavo TV, the Today Show + many others. This work that I deem purposeful has graced the beautiful faces of Queens like, Tarana Burke, Chimamanda Adichie, Cynthia Bailey, Ashley Blaine, Khadeen Ellis + Robyn Dixon .

Through a unique lens, I create Beauty focused content that inspires my audience to think, heal + create from a more intentional + purpose driven center. My platform + my Beauty chair are both a  safe space that I hold for my clients' trust, vulnerability, fears, joys, trauma, and all the layers that makes them beautiful. Through the power of physical transformation, we are healing together as a Community; mind, body + spirit.

My purpose is to help women connect their inherent love for Beauty to their Spiritual Healing + Emotional Wellness. Beauty is Soul Deep, my journey, and those of the Women who sit in my chair is a living testimony.
